ESPN Star Sports bring World Cup to mobiles
ESPN Star Sports (ESS) has launched a mobile content channel, Mobile ESPN, which enables subscribers to receive World Cup coverage for a fraction of the cost of pay-per-view TV, according to the broadcaster. <BR><BR> The channel has tied up with Bridge Mobile Alliance, a network of seven key telcos: Airtel (India), CSL (Hong Kong), Globe Telecom (Philippines), Maxis (Malaysia), SingTel (Singapore), Taiwan Mobile (Taiwan) and Telkomsel (Indonesia). Apart from the World Cup, Mobile ESPN will offer sports content from global broadcasts in the form of video downloads, SMS alerts and a WAP portal.
