Entries for Digital Media Awards up 33 per cent

ASIA-PACIFIC - The number of entries for Media magazine's Digital Media Awards has rocketed by nearly 33 per cent from last year, from 331 in 2008 to 438 in 2009.

The event aims to award campaigns according to outstanding creativity and effectiveness and will be judged by a panel of digital experts from across the region from companies and agencies including Friendster, Google, GroupM, Hewlett-Packard, MRM, OgilvyOne, OMD, Turner Entertainment Networks Asia and Yahoo


The event will be chaired by executive creative director of Tribal DDB Amsterdam Chris Baylis, acclaimed for his work on the 2009 Cannes Lions Grand Prix-winning 'Carousel' campaign for Philips Electronics

The Digital Media Awards were launched in 2007. The 2009 awards will be held on 16 November in Beijing.
