English & Pockett shuts shop in Asia

SINGAPORE - UK-based branding agency English & Pockett (E&P) has folded after six months in business in Asia. The UK office has also closed, 23 years after its London launch.

The shutting follows the retirement of agency founder Darrell Pockett and the subsequent departure of senior management to pursue their own interests.

E&P opened an office in Singapore in July, specialising in branding and content management for media and entertainment clients. “The E&P brand has been much-respected for the last two decades and it has been a very difficult decision for myself and the board of directors to move on,” said Richard Wallman, managing director, E&P.

Debbie Lee, head of E&P’s Asia-Pacific operation, said: “It has been a high-adrenaline half-year launching and spearheading E&P’s business in Asia.”
