Elle set for Indonesia launch

JAKARTA - Lagardère Active has struck a deal with Trinaya Tirta, publisher of Indonesia's leading women's magazines, to launch an Indonesian edition of Elle.

Headed by Adeline Juni Mewengkang as editor-in-chief, Elle Indonesia - which is the 40th local edition of Elle - will deliver Indonesian and international content to a 24-39 year old demographic.

Victor Visot, CEO of Lagardère’s Greater China and Southeast Asia division, said: “As part of our global strategy for developing in certain markets via licensing deals, we are glad to be working with Trinaya Tirta whose know-how and expertise in women’s magazines make it the best partner to bring Elle magazine to Indonesian women.”

Trinaya Tirta is the leading publisher of women’s magazines in Indonesia with annual revenues of US$15 million.

Meanwhile, Elle recently celebrated its 15th anniversary in Singapore where it is published by MediaCorp.
