SYDNEY The management of EIBTM, the long running trade show for the conference and incentive travel sector, is confident the move to Spain next year and the change in date will invigorate the event.
EIBTM moves to Barcelona after 15 years at Palexpo in Geneva and Reed Travel Exhibitions marketing manager Ms Mandy Torrens said the late November/early Dec-ember date had been picked after visitor and exhibitor consultation.
Visiting Australia to update the media and key clients about EIBTM 2004, she said the traditional May date had been found to be a time when many potential visitors were busy organising their company events.
"December and January were cited as the months most suitable. We were aware, however, that the aftermath of the Christmas holidays also made it difficult for many to get away, so opted for early December," Ms Torrens said.
"We've had excellent responses from exhibitors and visitors and there's a lot of excitement building for Barcelona."
