Agency veteran Ophira Samuel Bhatia is promoted to director in Mumbai, reporting to Edelman India MD and CEO Roger Pereira. In addition, Amit Misra takes on a similar role in Delhi, joining from APCO, where he ran that agency’s strategic communications practice. Misra will lead Edelman’s Delhi office, which regional president Alan VanderMolen described as “emerging.”
Other appointments include Roma Pereira-Talwar as director, overseeing lifestyle and healthcare and Sachin Talwar as director, leading the national corporate practice. Meanwhile, Allwyn Fernandes has been named director of Edelman’s social engagement unit in India, in addition to an existing role as director of the media practice.
