In his new role, effective immediately, McLisky will be responsible for leading the firm’s corporate practice across Edelman’s 11 Asia-Pacific markets. He will report directly to David Brain, president and CEO of Edelman Asia-Pacific, and Ben Boyd, global head of Edelman’s corporate practice.
McLisky rejoins Edelman following 20 years as chairman of IndoPacific Edelman in Indonesia. He joins from Burson-Marsteller, where he was vice-president for Australia and New Zealand. McLisky has worked with clients across New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Australia and Indonesia, according to the agency.
Brain called McLisky one of the region’s "best known and most experienced practitioners" who will give great advice to clients and colleagues beyond his base in Indonesia. Boyd referenced McLisky's "incredible crisis communications work in Indonesia in the wake of the 2004 tsunami" as an example of his experience.
