It is believed that Edelman, Text100 and Waggener Edstrom have advanced from an initial list of ten agencies, according to sources.
Ebay Southeast Asia PR manager, Eunice Lim, declined to comment on the shortlist but said a decision is expected at the end of August. “(The appointed) agency will service our PR needs and help us drive PR campaigns on ground in Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines. Our business needs are evolving and as the community in Philippines and Malaysia grow, we see the need to appoint a regional agency which will service us not only in Singapore but also for those markets,” she said.
Waggener Edstrom currently handles eBay Hong Kong.
