Ebay Hong Kong consumers capitalise on online selling

HONG KONG - More than one third of local eBay 'power sellers' earn more than four times the local median income, according to the results of an internal eBay survey.

The survey, which covered more than 700 respondents between April and May, categorised users into three categories: experienced power sellers; new power sellers and new general sellers.

According to eBay’s figures, 34 per cent of experienced power sellers generated more than HK$500,000 (US$64,000) a year through online sales to overseas buyers.
