EBA reshuffles after shareholders leave

Euan Barty Associates (EBA) has put in place a new management team across its Greater China operations, following the departures of three of its longstanding shareholders.

New GM Claudia Choi confirmed that Rick Allen, Wendy Allen and Fergus O'Rourke had sold their shareholdings back to the agency.

Wendy Allen was previously GM of the agency, while Rick Allen departed EBA last year to take over as regional chief of Brodeur - which counts EBA as one of its Asia-Pacific affiliates. Meanwhile, O'Rourke ends a 15-year relationship with the agency.

Choi confirmed that the shareholding is now split between majority shareholder and chairman Euan Barty, along with herself and Brian Patterson.

The agency has responded to the departures by naming a number of staff to new positions in its 20th anniversary year. Hellen Tan takes on Choi's former role as China country manager, supported by deputy country manager Fanny Feng. Andy Wong has been named group director for business development, while Howard Jones takes over as director of Hong Kong operations.
