HONG KONG: Dentsu Young & Rubicam has promoted its regional account

managing director Luca Valdrighi to general manager of its Hong Kong

office.

Valdrighi was until recently the Singapore-based head of the Ericsson

account, which is now with Bartle Bogle Hegarty. He has been with Y&R

Italy since 1985, and has since developed international campaigns for a

range of clients including Colgate-Palmolive and Kodak.

Peter Steigrad, chairman of DY&R, said the appointment of Valdrighi with

his international experience highlighted the vital role the Hong Kong

agency plays in the DY&R and Y&R global network.

"Outstanding people are the key to helping our clients' brands grow in

this tough environment. Luca's experience with Y&R and DY&R is a big

plus for our clients and for us," he added.
