DUBAI The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) has joined forces with the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) to promote Dubai more actively as an exhibition venue around the world. DTCM director general Mr Khalid bin Sulayem said exhibitions should attract companies from all over the world to Dubai and hoped the marketing agreement would raise the profile of the industry for the emirate. The partnership between the DTCM and DWTC is expected to reach a wide range of worldwide audiences. Mr bin Sulayem added that the DWTC and DTCM had discussed combining forces to promote the corporate events business in Dubai earlier this year and this project marks the culmination of a series of meetings to raise the emirate's profile. The project was initiated following planning and extensive cross liaison between the DTCM and DWTC and is designed to boost the exhibition business in Dubai and assist in emphasising the emirate's importance as an international exhibition venue.
