Awadh Seghayer Al Ketbi,executive director heritage and convention division of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing, said: “The conventions and conferences are expected to attract over 25,000 participants to Dubai, thereby strengthening Dubai’s status as destination of choice for the global MICE industry.”
The economic impact will be substantial, with approximately US$200 million in investments
running into conferences.
Dubai scoops new events
DUBAI The Dubai Convention Bureau has confirmed 12 major conferences in the first six months of this year, 50% more than the same period last year.
