Dubai Boat Show sets attendance record for 2006

DUBAI The Dubai International Boat Show 2006 recorded its highest ever visitor numbers when it opened last month.

According to show organisers, there were in excess of 25,000 visitors at this year's event, which took up nearly 15,000 sqm of exhibition space at the Dubai International Marine Club. The on-water pontoon area had been specially expanded to accommodate increased demand from exhibitors, with 120 boats on-water throughout the event. The event also coincided with the 2nd Gulf Boating Conference. Entitled 'Vision for the Future', the conference covered topics such as new marina and waterside developments, and the potential for imported and locally manufactured boats. The Dubai International Boat Show is organised by the Dubai World Trade Centre.
