Duan, Faust beef up 141 China ops

WPP activation agency 141 Worldwide has beefed up its senior head count in China with the hire of business development and training directors.

James Duan has joined as business development director and Michael Faust as group training and development director as 141 plans for "aggressive" mainland expansion, said China CEO Soames Hines. Previously with RMG Guangzhou, Duan has been given overall responsibility for BAT China. "James brings an intellectual weight and understanding of the China market and consumer that is second to none," said Hines. Faust has more than 20 years' integrated agency and client experience. "Talent is the most important asset in China. Michael has a mission to help us create a new breed of activation professionals that will drive our growth and form the future leadership of our company in China," Hines added. The appointments follow last month's arrival of ex-Draft Malaysia ECD and MD Sean Sim and Lowe/Draft Asia's Bangkok-based regional activation director Bryce Whitwam as managing partners.
