Drummond leaves Nitro after almost three years at the agency. “It’s been a fantastic experience, but it’s more about having a bigger role in full time planning,” he said. The move marks of reunion for Drummond with Y&R, an agency he spent six years with in his native Australia.
Drummond will report to Y&R Greater China chairman Tom Kao. “Steve is a very creative planning person, which we need to inspire our creative,” said Kao. “He is very international but because of his long tenure in China, he is also very sensitive to Chinese culture. Drummond joined Nitro from Lowe, where he headed planning for Greater China.
