The creative agency has also named Marvin Pedro as the deputy executive creative director, focusing on the quality of creative work in traditional media as the agency’s creative department is expanding, particularly in skills sets for digital media.

Wieneke and Samodio were previously senior vice president, digital head and executive creative director, respectively. They take over the leadership of the agency, as long-time president and CEO Arnold Liong steps up as chairman and takes a group management role with holding company MFCB.

Wieneke noted that the management of the agency is evolving as the pace of business accelerates and clients are expanding into more communications channels.

“We see a clear opportunity to manage and drive creative communications through all media using an integrated agency structure that has no silos,” said Wieneke, who is also the newly elected vice president of the Philippine 4As.

Samodio added that the agency has strengthened its talent pool as the scope of work for clients is expanding rapidly. Draftfcb Manila is working with clients such as Smart Communications, PLDT, MoneyGram, Kraft, Nivea, Asia Brewery, SM Investments Corp and SM Development Corp.
