The development comes as the HKTB begins exploratory talks with agencies, before it issues a formal tender for the business.
DraftFCB Greater China chairman and CEO Gary Tse confirmed the decision, and said: “We’ve resigned. We’ve had a very enjoyable eight-year relationship but there will be a lot of new challenges and a change of direction during the next term, so maybe it makes more sense for a new agency to start again.”
Earlier this year, the HKTB revamped its management line-up, appointing James Tien as the new chairman, and Anthony Lau and Daisy Lam as executive director and deputy executive director, respectively.
