DraftFCB beats four to win Buick China

CHINA - DraftFCB has been appointed to handle inter-active for Buick China, with a brief to revamp its website.

The agency clinched the account following a pitch that included four other local interactive shops.

“Our research shows that 78 per cent of car buyers in China conduct online research before making a purchase decision, which indicates how crucial successful online communication is in connecting with consumers,” said DraftFCB chairman and CEO Gary Tse.

Sales of GM’s flagship Buick brand grew by almost 25 per cent in 2006.
