At the time of Sherlock’s departure it was widely believed that the agency would not seek a replacement for the regional role, particularly given its moves to shed regional management since the merger between Draft and FCB.
However, DraftFCB Greater China chief Gary Tse confirmed that Simons has been elevated to the regional ECD role.
In addition, DraftFCB has appointed former JWT group creative director Bill Chan as ECD of its Shanghai office, reporting to national ECD Hwee Beng Poh.
