Draft FCB lands retainer business for HKTDC

<P>Draft FCB has scooped its first major client in the city - the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) - following the merger of the IPG sibling agencies.</P> <P>Draft FCB, which beat six rivals to take the business, will work on HKTDC's publications and ecommerce promotions, with a campaign scheduled to break over the next few weeks. </P> <P>The campaign will launch in China ahead of a global roll-out and will seek to fight off competition from the likes of alibaba.com and Global Sources.</P> <P>Draft FCB's appointment marks the first time that the HKTDC has appointed an agency for a 20-month retainer, choosing in the past to work with agencies on a project basis. </P> <P>Simone Tam, general manager at Draft FCB, said the win was in line with the agency's strategy to provide clients with creative through-the-line integrated services. </P> <P>"In terms of market expansion, China is a priority for the HKTDC. We will work on above-the-line as well as leaflets, exhibitions, booths, uniforms, direct marketing and engagement marketing. Market expansion in China is a priority for the HKTDC to expand its services and grow its business," she said.</P>
