The undisclosed sources said that Kuok's resignation has been announced internally. However, a Starcom spokesperson contacted by Campaign Asia-Pacific denied the news.

Kuok joined Starcom Hong Kong on 2 March last year.

A 20-year media-industry veteran, Kuok was previously a partner of client leadership at Mindshare Hong Kong for five years, where she managed a team of 15 staff in leading the development of strategic communication strategies, as well as running global and local blue-chip accounts including HSBC, Lane Crawford, Prada and Hong Kong Disneyland.

As reported earlier this month, Melanie Lo, long-serving Mindshare Hong Kong managing director, will succeed KK Tsang as chief executive officer of GroupM Hong Kong effective 1 August. Mindshare is still searching for her replacement.
