DMS quits digital ad agency in favour of networks

SINGAPORE - Online marketing business Digital Marketing Solutions (DMS) is to drop its internet advertising agency operations to focus on expanding its ad network and syndication services.

New Media, a subsidiary of the online and mobile group, will cease to offer digital advertising services. It operates in Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam and Indonesia.

DMS announced the repositioning in response to the current digital and economic environment.

New Media launched in 2004 as a digital advertising agency responsible for developing web and mobile campaigns. Following the announcement, DMS will instead focus on its advertising network and syndication business.

“DMS Group is being proactive in making organisational changes within the current economic climate to become more agile and competitive,” Grant Watts, CEO of DMS, said in a release. “This decision will bring focus within the organisation and position us for profitability and sustainability for the future.”

According to DMS, its three other holdings - Admax Network, Admax Plus and Impaq Interactive - will operate as usual. New Media, meanwhile, will continue managing its existing contracts and fulfil any outstanding contracts.
