Woo will assume responsibility for implementing commercial strategy, business operations and financial planning for the Walt Disney Company’s entire regional television business, including Disney Channels, Playhouse Disney channels, and Toon Disney/Jetix, among others.
Additional duties will continue to include the provision of financial advice on negotiations of long-term deals with regional platform partners, and financial management of the company’s equity interest in television channels.
Following her promotion, Woo will be based in Hong Kong and report to Disney ABC Cable Networks Group executive vice president and chief financial officer Jewell Engstrom, and Robert Gilby, senior vice president and managing director of Disney-ABC International Television, Asia Pacific.
