Microsoft Advertising has rolled out advertising via PCs and mobile devices on Skype in new markets including Japan and Taiwan. Mobile advertising on iPhone and Android launched in the US during December. Sponsired ads are currently shown at the top of the Home and Message screens.

The site went live on 17 February and forms part of a series of marketing activities to commemorate the retirement of its 747 fleet. The site includes stories, photos and videos.

The company is giving game developers seed money and the IP for its Chupa Chups brand in exchange for a cut of the revenue from any games they develop. The first game Chupa Cracker has already launched on Facebook.

Korean portal Daum has launched Daum Mobage, a local version of Tokyo-based social gaming platform DeNA. Daum's 38 million users can now enjoy Korean-languages games including Ninja Royale, We Rule and Happy Ocean. According to a DeNA spokesperson, they may consider introducing marketing features to the Korean platform if it grows to a certain extent.
Indonesian news portal Detikcom has handed the exclusive rights to its mobile app inventory to InMobi. The two-year agreement, which takes effect on 20 March, covers all the portal's traffic to its iOS and Android applications for both smartphones and tablet devices.
