Digipost launches Cambodian facility

PHNOM PENH - Digipost, the Singapore-based post-production company, has opened for business in Cambodia, and becomes the first full service post-production facility to operate in the country.

The launch marks the third Southeast Asian outlet for Digipost, which opened in Vietnam in 2005.

The Phnom Penh operation, which opened last week, is targeting regional and global as well as local advertisers with a full suite of post-production services, including visual effects, 3D animation, motion graphics and audio engineering.

"Cambodia is one of Southeast Asia's most exciting emerging markets. It is on the same path as Vietnam, and the broadcast and advertising industries are growing rapidly," said Allen Seet (pictured), the founder and CEO of Digipost.

To date, agencies and broadcasters have had to use post houses in neighbouring countries such as Thailand and Malaysia.

Seet added: "It may appear that we are moving into Cambodia a bit too soon, but I would disagree. From a strategic point of view, we are creating a network of post-production facilities that will service clients as they grow in Southeast Asia's fastest-growing markets."

Digipost, which has operated from its Singapore base for over 15 years, services broadcasters such as Walt Disney, HBO and Discovery as well as advertising clients.
