Digi invites four to pitch for media

KUALA LUMPUR - Digi Telecommunications, one of Malaysia's biggest mobile operators, has invited four agencies including Vizeum, PHD, Carat and incumbent Starcom to pitch for its media account. Of the four invited agencies Carat is reported to have withdrawn.

A Digi spokesperson confirmed that the “pitch process has been initiated” and also reports that Carat has withdrawn. 

It is not clear how much Digi spends on its media but according to ACNielsen, the telco spent a total of RM128.3 million (US$35 million) last year on advertising and promotion.

Digi provides a range of wireless services and has established presence as a leader in voice and data prepaid services. The company’s services are offered under the two brand names - Digi Prepaid and Digi Postpaid brand.
