Three consultants will staff the Jakarta office, which will be run by Ary Sudiarto, who leaves his own consultancy to join JDBC.
The consultancy is already working with three local Indonesian clients - a TV station, a hotel chain and a province wanting to boost its tourism appeal. But Dietzel would not reveal specifics.
“Now that the Singapore office has stablised, the time was right to expand. There’s only so much you can do from Singapore,” said Dietzel. “For the bigger projects we have started working on, you need a local team on the ground.”
