Operating under the name Diethelm Travel Bhutan, the fully licensed agency will be the eighth Asian destination in which Diethelm Travel Asia has established a presence.
"We are delighted to be working with Yarkay to market this stunning destination," said DTA CEO John Watson.
"Through our extensive network of partners, and with Yarkay's novel itineraries and local expertise, we are confident that Diethelm can help boost sustainable tourism in what is undoubtedly one of the world's last un-spoilt travel havens," added Watson.
While the destination has until now rarely featured in the planning of incentive and meeting organisers, the opportunity is now available and would be best suited to exclusive executive meetings and regional CEO pow-wows, said Diethelm Travel Bhutan managing director Dechen Penjor.
Over the past few years, Bhutan has been making strides to increase the number of high-end visitors to the country, inking a number of agreements with international luxury hotel chains.
Bhutan's national airline, Druk Air, offers daily flights out of Bangkok and the country is also linked by air routes to Delhi, Kolkata and Kathmandu.
