DIARY: Three little pigs blow away HK's idols

<p>Spare a thought for Hong Kong's celebrities. They don't live the </p><p>charmed lives that the tabloids would have the public believe. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>If anything, they could do with a big dose of love and affection at what </p><p>must be a low point in their career, with this bit of news just in. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Hong Kong once-beloved celebrities like Michael Wong and Leon Lai have </p><p>been usurped in the public's affection ... by, wait for this, three </p><p>little pigs and M&M candies. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>That's what ATV's 7th Annual Most Popular TV Commercial has found. </p><p>SuneVision's "Three Little Pigs" campaign and M&M animation commercial </p><p>,where a man distresses a talking-feeling M&C candy by eating his first </p><p>girlfriend and relatives, pipped campaigns with heart-throbs like Eason </p><p>Chan (Ribena), Ritchie Yen (hongkong.com), Nicholas Tse (Coca-Cola and </p><p>Bossini) and Leon Lai (Hutchison). Only Andy Lau, (Ericsson) and Tony </p><p>Leung (San Miguel) made it to the top 10 list. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>On the subject of fame, Ogilvy & Mather Singapore missed out on its </p><p>15-minute dose of it this year. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>For an agency that normally scoops up a fair share of awards, O&M was </p><p>surprisingly absent this year. Turns out it was a victim of </p><p>sabotage ... a PA - make that an ex-PA - apparently "forgot" to send the </p><p>agency's entries to the various award shows. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>A better PA next year. </p><p><BR><BR> </p>
