DIARY: Stories we could tell ... Temperatures rise as Lisbon drops leaf

When this beguiling invitation landed at media's desk one hot and

humid Hong Kong afternoon, let's just say there was a rush to rebrand,

reposition and re-engineer the company.

A show of hands quickly produced the desired consensus - media had to

become an advertising agency in double quick time only because it too

wanted to create some saucy, tantalising piece of creative and

participate in the Lisbon Erotic Advertising Festival or LEAF for

short.

After all, as the organisers behind this erotic-laden fest tell it:

advertising is "the most fun you can have with your clothes on".

Well, no one can blame LEAF organisers for not taking their

organisational duties seriously. They've laid on a three-day festival in

Portugal as part of the competition, including an erotic literature fair

as well as a lingerie fashion parade. Plus there will be seminars

devoted to burning issues like the use of erotic content. There are

seven categories in all, including food and drink, vehicles and

transport and tourism.

The other thing that media wants to know is: who exactly is Wong Chung

Ko of Shanghai, who's been invited to sit on the jury to judge the

entries?

As for the rest, what are you waiting for? Entries must be in by

September 7. Contact leaf@prisma-mag.com for details.
