DIARY: Stories we could tell ... Cup runneth over ... for wrong reason

Diary never realised that media was in such demand, until a magazine supplement reached our desk.

On closer inspection though, we have to wonder whether this interest should be encouraged.

The advertorial - in the popular gossipy, paparrazi magazine, Next - features Sandra Ng, a local Hong Kong celebrity, best known as a movie star and radio talk show host.

She talks about how women can be pretty and successful and then goes on to tout the benefits of a herbal product that can help women fit into larger bra sizes the natural way. That is, without having to resort to the Wonderbra.

A caption sums up the entire piece: "It is not difficult to be a stupid guy. But I won't let myself be a stupid woman."

Hmm ... Diary thinks we should distance ourselves from this one, lest we be attacked and vilified by feminist groups and male chauvinist pigs all at once. Which is not likely to be a pretty sight.

However, having officially distanced ourselves from the Next supplement, Diary would like to humbly say that this once again demonstrates without a shadow of doubt that media is not only the essential read for top marketing communications executives across the Asia-Pacific region, but also now in the Hong Kong celebrity circuit.
