DIARY: On the spot - Phil Ren, General manager, Acentral, Information, Shanghai
What's the best part of your job? I am currently working in sales, so you know, the best part is always having orders confirmed with happy customers, and seeing that their needs are fulfilled by our products. And the worst? The worst isn't losing clients, but when they don't give any comment - whether it is positive or negative - but you just have to sit there and wait for their decision. And sometimes, I feel like a prisoner waiting for the final verdict. Your all-time favourite film and why? I guess I should say Titanic because I got a free ticket for such a long film. Favourite book or CD? I like music more than books. Current favourite is Ricky Martin, but don't know what it will be tomorrow. Favourite print title? Depends on category, Media in this industry, but I have many for other categories, like San Lian Weekly, Modern Pictorial, Chip for computing. Favourite restaurant? Xu Jia Si Fang Cai, a small but very elegant restaurant located on Huashan Road in Shanghai. Do you have a favourite gadget? Yes, I have a jade necklace which my wife gave me as a birthday gift when I was 25. Favourite fashion designer? No, I don't care for it. Shirts and suits are my only choice during the week. Weirdest thing we'll find in your closet? Magazine rack. What are your hobbies? Writing, computer games, everything that requires playing with a keyboard. Favourite holiday destination? Europe or any nice seaside location. Who would you want to play you in a movie? Chow Yun-Fat? How would you title your movie? Modern Times. It sounds like a classic. All-time favourite ad? Honda's latest commercial, developed by a French producer. I wish I could ... get my dog to talk. </pre>
