Diary: On the spot - Lee Swee Chin, Brand manager, Unilever Malaysia

What's the best part of your job?

Seeing how my brand has touched the hearts of my consumers. For example, the Pond's 'Popcorn' ad - many people have been able to play out the dialogue between the two protagonists. One consumer actually wrote to tell us that her boyfriend did the 'popcorn thing' with her and now they have become a couple.

And the worst?

Because I am so passionate about my work, I don't spend enough time with my children, so I feel guilty about that.

Your all-time favourite film and why?

Dead Poets Society, for the way Robin Williams was able to bring poetry

to life and inspire students who were never interested before.

Favourite book or CD?

Falling Leaves by Adeline Yen Mah.

Favourite print title?

Cosmopolitan.

Favourite restaurant?

None... Well, perhaps my own kitchen.

Do you have a favourite gadget?

My 3-in-1 pencil cum red-and-blue-ink pen (I carry it every where with

me so that I can jot down my thoughts and things to do besides my Ipaq

(to organise my agenda).

Favourite fashion designer?

No one in particular, any thing that looks good on me.

Weirdest thing we'll find in your closet?

Uncapped empty perfume bottles (not weird as such, but practical).

What are your hobbies?

Reading, cooking, playing with my kids.

Favourite holiday destination?

A place that has a beach to relax and swim, and a city I can explore and

shop.

Who would play you in a movie?

Nicole Kidman.

How would you title your movie?

Perceptive Mind.

If you were a brand, what would it be?

Haagen-Dazs.

All-time favourite ad?

Pond's 'Popcorn'.

Please finish this line: I wish I could ...

Earn enough money and retire aged 40 to do my own thing!

Last thing to cross your mind before bed?

When are my two 'monsters' going to fall asleep?
