DIARY: On the spot - John Snelgrove, chief excitement officer, aka general manager, corporate affairs, AXA China

What's the best part of your job?

All of it. I love it, especially having the freedom to express myself

and let my creative juices thrive.

And the worst?

I don't really have one, although I dislike administrative chores. I

much prefer to create rather than fill in forms

Your all-time favourite film and why?

I love Forrest Gump. Having grown up in that era and having milestone

events turned upside down by Tom Hanks' character really warmed my

heart.

Favourite restaurant and dish?

Hong Kong has so many good restaurants, it is hard to pin it down. I

love tom yum kung, and t he Aberdeen Marina Club's Balcony Restaurant is

probably my favourite Thai joint.

Do you have a favourite gadget?

I don't even normally use remote control for the TV, VCR or stereo, so

it would have to be the NICAM button - so that I can watch the English

football in English, instead of Cantonese.

Who would you want to play you in a movie?

It would have to be a loon - Jim Carrey would fail on the London accent,

so it has to be Rowan Atkinson. He has the perfect rubber face to pull

it off.

How would you title your movie?

I guess it would have to be Go Ahead, as Chee Sin Gwei Lo might not work

overseas. It would be a shame to do a movie, because the best part of my

life is still to come. So we might have to suffer Go Ahead 2, 3, 4 etc.
