DIARY: On the spot - Joey Li, director of marketing (Asia), The Coastal Group International

Q: What's the best part of your job?

A: It gives me the opportunity to meet a lot of different clients. I

manage marketing for the Hong Kong branch of The Coastal Group, and it's

a really challenging job for me: I love it and it expands my

horizons.

Q: And the worst?

A: The worst thing is that I am working on New York time. I finish work

during normal office hours, but then I have to prepare meeting material

for around 11pm. Sometimes the meetings take two hours, stuck in front

of a computer with a video-conferencing system. It means I can't go out

to have a drink with friends on week days.

Q: Your all-time favourite film and why?

A: Forrest Gump. I just love the way he lives his life, and the

simplicity. He doesn't care what happens in his life. He lives with

faith and hope, he moves on and on without a target and he enjoys

it.

Q: Favourite book or CD?

A: My favourite CD is Laura Fygi's The Latin Touch. I love her voice so

much; it's full of emotion.

Q: Favourite restaurant and favourite dish there?

A: I don't eat in a healthy way. I love spicy food: my favourite

restaurant is Cafe Siam in Soho - its red curry duck is delicious.

Q: Do you have a favourite gadget?

A: I should say the Palm Pilot. It helps me to memorise so many

things.

Q: What are your hobbies?

A: I like swimming and outdoor adventure activities.

Q: Where did you go on your last vacation?

A: Hawaii. I had a great time there. I sky dived 10,000 feet from a

plane.
