DIARY: On the spot - Charles Edwards, partner and managing director, Hong Kong/Singapore, Fallon

What's the best part of your job?

The diverse challenges that come from working with a wide variety of clients on a wide variety of business problems.

And the worst?

The bigots and fools.

Your all-time favourite film and why?

Even though it's a recent release, I think it's probably 'A.I.'.

OK, OK - I know it was critically canned, but with my passion for great stories and characters, this film struck a real chord. Spielberg and Kubrick are truly stand-alone masters of the modern storytelling age and this story had so many universal themes masterfully woven into a beautifully engaging tapestry of love, loss, and the search for truth that it gets my top vote - though I can understand how the average film-going public might not appreciate it.

Second favourite would be 'Fight Club'. Delightfully twisted.

Favourite book?

Blur: The Speed of Change in the Connected Economy, by Stan Davis and Christopher Meyer.

Favourite restaurant and favourite dish there?

Hmmm. A tough question. Probably have to say 'Tetsuya's' in Sydney.

Favourite fashion designer?

Jeremy.

What are your hobbies?

Composing and producing music.

Where did you go on your last vacation?

Turks and Caicos Islands in the Caribbean. I was best man at my best friend's wedding.

Please finish this line, I wish I could ... fit more hours into each day.
