DIARY: My media - Lau Seng Yee Chief executive officer, BBDO China

Television

As an expatriate working in China for more than seven years, I have learnt to appreciate the importance of viewing local Chinese television channels.

To dance with the wolf, one must become one. I believe in this firmly.

We are in the business of communication, how dare we not keep ourselves abreast with the latest happening, when we know that television continues to dominate as the major medium in China.

CCTV news is fine, but I love OTV.

Press

I read a wide range of Chinese news papers such as International Finance News, Jie Fang Daily and The Economic Observer.

To stay in touch with the world from a different perspective, the Asian Wall Street Journal is a must.

Websites

Not much of a great fan here.

I subscribe to SCMP online.

Check my astro sign every morning via sohu.com.

And I download Chinese e-books from eshunet.com quite regularly.

Advertising

Magazines are the best channel to reach me.

I read the Harvard Business Review regularly.

I also buy most 'white collar' Chinese magazines at the airport book store when I travel.

Radio

This medium is irrelevant to me.
