At the moment though, this hoped-for fourth generation adman is still
dribbling saliva, needs help with his diapers - give him a break, he's
all of five months old. But we hear daddy, that's Simon Holt, managing
director of Grey Global Group's G2 Asia-Pacific, is hoping he'll follow
the family's illustrious communications tradition. Little Henry has got
a rich stock of PR and advertising blood coursing through him. Great
grandfather was a PR man par excellence for Fyffes just after WWI and
grandfather was a lifer at Dorland-Bates.
Even at his tender age, Diary hears Henry is getting to know the ins and
outs of advertising, jargon and all, from daddy. Though the elder Holt
travels a lot as G2 expands, he's always back for nappy duty on
Sunday.
Or as Henry, the up-and coming communicator, would say if he could talk:
"This is, according to mummy who spends Sundays 'getting her life back'
and telling daddy very loudly 'his time with me'.
"I'm a bit at a loss about this but daddy mentioned that it's all to do
with mummy's account management."
Nothing like hooking 'em while they're young.
