SHK Financial Group launches a US$1.3 million print ad campaign
aimed at reinforcing its leading position in the sector and

Communications creates the campaign.

MTV Mandarin's 'Obsession' is named best TVC of the year at Taiwan's
Times Advertising Award. The TVC is set in a rural village, where a man
is cleaning his ear while listening to a traditional radio show. When a
little boy turns on MTV, the man jumps up and dances. However, when the
TV is turned off, the man sits and resumes cleaning his ear.

J.Walter Thompson's Asia network upgrades its computerisation in a bid
to allow its media buyers to respond more quickly to conditions.
According to the agency's media director Sue Johns, media buying is
becoming increasingly more important especially in the area of
television. The new system will improve buying capability, allow trends
to be tracked more thoroughly and the reporting format to be customised
for clients.
