Bally launches a campaign, which according to Lintas Hong Kong, has to be viable for two years, so no details of merchandise of the current season could be shown. The agency solves the conundrum by basing its execution on a movie trailer, as this would facilitate the showing of a range of products without having to dwell on any shot long enough to show detail.

Asiaweek, part of the Time Inc group, rolls out its first direct response TV commercial in Hong Kong for its Chinese newsweekly, Yazhou Zhoukan. It is the first magazine in Southeast Asia to use direct response television.
