<p>1 year ago </p><p>J. Walter Thompson outguns 17 agencies to win the creative and media assignments to launch Changan Ford's first small sedan model aimed at the Chinese mass market. The launch campaign takes place in what the agency's Greater China CEO and Northeast Asia area director Tom Doctoroff describes as a "sustained, 18-city push", involving a multimedia campaign. </p><p>5 years ago </p><p>HSBC trade services (Hexagon, Global Payments and Cash Management) kicks off its first global TVC to raise brand awareness. Shot in Australia, the M&C Saatchi-developed humorous ads aim to project a more customer-friendly approach for HSBC. </p><p>10 years ago </p><p>Capital Communications enters a cooperation agreement with a publisher in Guangzhou to relaunch Modern Magazine, a monthly title for the elite in southern China. According to the company's head, Albert Cheng, the relaunch aims to upgrade the quality of the magazine, making it the Chinese-language equivalent of a mix between Harper's Bazaar and Esquire. </p><p>15 years ago </p><p>Philco household appliances launches a series of new TV commercials to promote its range of air-conditioners, washing machines and refrigerators. The TVCs are developed by Compu-Ad Centre Hong Kong. </p>
