Diageo looks to IMG for sports push

SINGAPORE - Diageo has selected IMG to manage its first regional sports sponsorship for Guinness beer, following a final shootout with 141 Sports & Entertainment (Media 6 October).

Diageo confirmed with Media that the chosen sports property will only be announced next January.

Meanwhile, PR incumbent Grayling will retain media duties. Although this will be Guinness' first sponsorship in the region, in Europe the stout has been a long-time sponsor of the English Rugby Union Premiership, a sponsorship reportedly worth US$49 million.
