Diageo boosts regional presence
Diageo has opened its first regional logistics hub in Singapore, which aims to intensify localisation efforts by driving market-specific packaging and launches of bespoke products for Asia. <BR><BR> The company said its US$8.2 million facility will also slash product lead times from nine weeks to less than three. <BR><BR> "This is the first time any drinks company in the world has created such a centre," said John Pollaers, managing director of Diageo Asia. "It's another sign of our commitment to business in Asia. We want to be known as a celebrated local business."
