Smith joined Ogilvy as general manager of Ogilvy Interactive in July 2000 and was promoted to MD of OgilvyOne Singapore in January 2002. His achievements included integrating the interactive and direct marketing units and growing OgilvyOne Singapore ten-fold, with a total of 60 creative awards in 2003 alone.
Under Smith's leadership, OgilvyOne Singapore also expanded, establishing a consulting division and Design Direct.
It now accounts for nearly half of the Ogilvy Group's revenue and profits.
The new MD, Devlin, said she aimed to maintain the strong momentum of the office and advance its lead position.
Her priority is to boost employee recognition through a series of measures aimed at tracking and rewarding staff achievements, and to strengthen the current team through a series of training programmes designed to intensify the quality of work.
"Although Ogilvy has extremely talented staff, quality training is critical to the continued growth and improvement of OgilvyOne as an organisation.
My goal is to continually improve our team communication skills and out-of-the-box thinking, especially as it relates to Ogilvy's core 360-degree beliefs," she said.
"We want to continue attracting the best and the brightest to work at OgilvyOne and our current staff are the greatest testament to our strength.
So focusing on staff recognition and job satisfaction is my highest priority in 2004 as loyal and satisfied staff in turn provides superior client service and creative thinking."
Devlin joined OgilvyOne Singapore a year ago from US-based interactive firm, Organic Inc, where she was MD.
