Dentsu to launch a new unit for social communications

TOKYO - Dentsu is in the process of launching a new unit called Dentu Social Design Engine, a communication planning unit which will be dedicated to planning and creating public awareness campaigns and content.

The network says that with social issues relating to environment, international contributions and regional development coming to the forefront it has become crucial for agencies to build new relationships with NGOs and NPOs, international organisations and regional governments.

The new unit will be established within the Social Projects Planning Division and have seven staff members, including creatives, strategy planners and producers, with expertise in this field. It will actively make proposals to clients and gradually increase its staff.
