Dentsu steps up animation offering
Dentsu has embarked on a push to accelerate overseas sales of its animated content business, inking a deal with Mitsubishi Corporation, an exporter of Japanese animation. <BR><BR> Dentsu said it will work with Mitsubishi to build an integrated business model covering production to global sales and rights management. The two companies plan to fund animated works capable of expanding the business in Japan and abroad, with an eye on North America. <BR><BR> As part of the deal, Mitsubishi has also bought a stake in the California-based arm of Dentsu's content distributor Geneon Entertainment.
