Dentsu rolls out initiative to lift sports In Indonesia

JAKARTA - Dentsu Indonesia's sports marketing division has partnered with National Sports Committee of Indonesia (KONI) and the Indonesian Olympic Committee (KOI) to launch a programme called Ayo Indonesia.

The objective of this program is to revive sport through partnership with the private sector. As part of this partnership Dentsu will try to engage businesses and encourage them to contribute more to Indonesian sports.

Harris Thajeb, president director of Dentsu Indonesia, said that Ayo Indonesia is a part of the NOC Official Olympic Partnership Programme, initiated by Dentsu Tokyo in co-operation with the National Olympic Committee in each country where Dentsu operates, with the aim to improve sports at the international level.

In Japan, the programme has been executed to support Japanese athletes in various international competitions for 30 years.

Rita Subowo, chairman of KONI and KOI, said: “The spirit and support from the public to athletes and national team would be meaningful for the national sports development.”
