Dentsu Media enters SIA media pitch

SINGAPORE – Dentsu Media, the media planning and buying arm of Dentsu, has joined the pitch for Singapore Airlines' US$50 million media planning and buying business, bringing the number of media agencies that have responded to the RFI to five.

"We're hoping we will be included in the shortlist for the RFP. This is probably one of our first attempts to join in a global AOR pitch," said Ken Matsumura, network operations manager of Dentsu Media.

Dentsu Media joins OMD, Carat, Starcom Mediavest and incumbent MEC.

Dentsu Media, which currently only exists as a standalone entity in Taiwan and Thailand, is believed to be mulling expansion into Hong Kong and Australia. In other Asian markets, such as Singapore, Malaysia, India, China and Indonesia, it exists as part of its parent brand or partners with agencies within Publicis Groupe.
