Dentsu lands nine-year IAAF deal

TOKYO - The International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) has extended its relationship with Dentsu, awarding the agency a second consecutive nine-year contract covering the governing body's global marketing and media rights outside Europe and Sub-Sahara Africa.

The deal, which sees Dentsu continue its arrangement with 58 key IAAF World Athletic Series events, including the World Championships, means Dentsu will collaborate with the recently-established Dentsu Sports Europe operation in London.

Dentsu has been tasked with developing communications programmes with the objective of increasing the popularity of track and field sports globally.
